Revealing Finalists and Jury for 2020 Innovation Challenge with Orexo in Substance Use Disorders

Dear Lyfebulb Community:

We congratulate our 10 finalists for our Innovation Challenge with Orexo in substance use disorders! Given today’s current climate, this initiative and partnership could not have come at a better time. As Lyfebulb CEO, Karin Hehenberger, so aptly states, “Our timely partnership with Orexo has shed light upon the many unfortunate challenges people still face today, but it also signals the opportunity to respond to those challenges through new innovations.”

Pictured below, each of our Patient Entrepreneurs were selected because of their personal connection to addiction and comorbidities that inspired them to create unique solutions to satisfy an unmet need of those affected by addiction or in recovery. We have also curated an esteemed group of jurists who will each bring a unique perspective to assess the Patient Entrepreneurs’ solutions. We feature Lyfebulb Ambassador, Lisa Smith, who is a former practicing lawyer and law firm executive, as well as a recovery coach, writer, speaker, and podcast host. Combined with her work with legal employers and other organizations to break the stigma around substance use and mental health disorders, Lisa will bring a unique patient perspective to each finalist’s solution.
